Services
Assess & Advocate
Advocacy Program: One on one initial assessment is offered for case management with a view to identify immediate and long-term needs. We then assist the client to develop an individual action plan toward the client's goals and desired outcome toward self-sufficiency and stability. We help the client advocate for those services and resources they are seeking. Clients may be referred from the local business, church, civic or non-profit community.
Resource Navigation
Referrals to resources in the community in the areas of child care, health care, food and personal hygiene products, clothing and shoes, transportation assistance when available and other necessities.
We are continually seeking new resources for our clients but we also encourage them to seek out information and resources for themselves as well.
2025 Offerings
We did not receive enough inquiries to proceed with low cost training for Certified Nursing Assistant at this time. If there is enough interest generated, we will partner with professional instructors at the clinic to offer this class in person and with test prep for State exam.
There are limited mini scholarships available for: Child Care Classes, Food Safety Courses, Basic Computer Skills and Select tutoring assistance. There are also employers in the community who offer tuition for college with employment and good wages. Some employers provide on the job training in an "earn while you learn" environment.

Employment Services
PLI staff and volunteers help with resume building, job readiness training, job search and promote employment as the best way to become self-sufficient and stable. By appointment we assist community members and clients with online job training, GED classes when requested, financial and computer literacy skills.
All services are provided by appointment only and we do not take walk-ins due to limited office hours and staff. We will make every effort to accommodate schedules for those who are employed or have transportation limitations.
